The Montessori Method
Multi-Age Groups
Multi-age groupings are a hallmark of the Montessori Method: younger children learn from older children; older children reinforce their learning by teaching concepts they have already mastered.
Purpose Built Classrooms
The design and flow of the Montessori classroom create a learning environment that accommodates choice. Beautiful, inviting, and thoughtfully arranged, the room embodies each element of Maria Montessori’s revolutionary approach.
Guided Choice
Children experience sensitive periods of opportunity as they grow and develop. Montessori teachers match lessons and materials to these sensitive periods when learning is most naturally absorbed and internalized.
What is special about CMS
Our school is well-known in the community as a visionary, highly-effective learning environment. Our teachers and parents remain passionately committed to the Montessori philosophy, while our students simply love going to school.

Loving Learning
CMS cultivates a life-long love of learning and fosters self-control and self-direction from an early age. Students learn at their own pace, under the thoughtful guidance of a professionally-trained Montessori teacher. Each CMS classroom is designed to facilitate individualized, independent, purposeful work within a warm and peaceful setting. Beginning in our toddler classrooms, the child begins to develop coordination, concentration, and independence while realizing that learning is an exciting process of discovery. Our sixth graders have grown into natural leaders, taking pride in their education and developing skills such as self-discipline, motivation, and confidence.

Growing Leaders
CMS students stand out from other kids and not just because they love going to school. The satisfaction they find in self-direction fills them with joy, and they exhibit more kindness toward each other. They naturally take responsibility for themselves and the world around them as curious, considerate, and thoughtful human beings. CMS graduates are consistently recognized as self-motivated, diligent, and creative contributors who readily adopt to whatever area of study or occupation they have chosen. These successful, independent thinkers are the future of the world, and they are the kinds of individuals that Creative Montessori School will continually strive to produce.

Teaching Excellence
CMS is dedicated to providing the most authentic Montessori environment for our students. Because we value each child’s unique potential, we can nurture our students’ inherent ability to meet challenges with divergent thinking skills, self-confidence, adaptability, and resilience. Our teachers choose to go through the extensive training process to become a certified Montessori teacher. Their passion for their work translates into enthusiasm in the classroom and creates an inspiring environment for learners. The result is a child who falls in love with learning, knowing that he carries within himself the tools he needs to engage the world and fulfill his potential.
Our Faculty
The Montessori teacher functions as a role model, demonstrator, record keeper, and meticulous observer of each child’s behavior and growth. Like her students, she is an active and curious learner. A delight in continual inquiry and growth and a respect for each child’s unique learning styles and interests are among her key qualities.
